Well, my blog was a bit out of date. It's been 2 months since I posted anything, and a lot has happened in those 2 months!
We moved from Pensacola, FL to Kingman, AZ where we are closer to friends and family and more in our native element (the desert!).
We bought a home on a half acre lot. It is a wonderful property with a beautiful view of the mountains. The photo above is the view from the front porch. It is an older home and we have lots of projects planned to fix it up. We are very excited about our new home and all the opportunities the Lord has in store for us in our new city! This is the room Malachi spends most of his time in. He loves to disperse his toys (and anything else he can get his hands on) all about the room.
Don't you just love my yellow-windowed front door?
We LOVE our porch! It wraps around on both sides of the house. The window on the right is looking into a breeze way (a partially enclosed porch) and on the other side of the breeze way is a 2 car garage. Travis is very happy about having a garage!
This is one of my favorite parts of the property - a little enclosed yard that will be very maintainable. I can't wait to try my hand at gardening. The little waterfall in the corner is pretty cool, too.
This is the master bath with a big garden tub that Malachi will have a blast swimming in and mommy will love relaxing in.
You may have noticed from the above 2 pictures that my wallpaper really dates my house! This groovy paper was all the rage in the 70's! My mom can't stand it and my mother-in-law loves it. It has kind of grown on me, but I won't be heart-broken when it eventually gets replaced!
My "new" dining room table that was made in the 60's. We got it for a killer deal at a thrift store (before the antique hunters found it!). We love having people over for dinner and have already put our big table to use several times!
The 2 bedrooms are still a work-in-progress, so I'm not going to bother putting up pics.
We praise God for His goodness to us! The last 2 years have been full of big events, fun surprises, a few heart aches, and lots of changes, and we thank Him for the way He has used each one to challenge and grow us. Praise His name.

Betsy you have really done a great job in fixing your house to be a home. I am so proud of you and Travis.
I loved reading your updates!! Very cool on the house! I'm guessing you might have been following our "house hunting".
Hi Travis and Betsy~~ I enjoyed the pics of your home. It is very nice and roomy and look like a wonderful place to raise your family and entertain guests. Your little man is such a cutie-pie. Give him a hug for me.
