A Photo Journal of Today

This has been a day absolutely full of photo-ops, which may explain why it took at least 4 hours to get me floors swept and mopped!

I must share with you all the beautiful things I've seen today.

 Beutiful Nora! Love those ears!!
In the next several pictures, you will see stormy skies in the background. One of my favorite things... (you can thank me later for getting that song stuck in your head!)

I didn't notice at the time that they were holding hands

This rainbow was actually from early yesterday morning.

I had Malachi get the diapers out of the drier for me and asked him to put them on the couch. Next thing I know, he had "made squares" with them! (I had taught him a while ago to "make squares" out of washcloths to help me fold laundry.) This was so cute!
Time for his monthly bath - whether he needs it or not!

He was helping with the gardening...
Another funny thing that interrupted my mopping - the boys were spending an aweful long time in the laundry room, and this is what I found.

I had been a little curious as to how Morgan got up there, but I found out a little later.
What can you even say about this????
Malachi watching the rain from inside - when the rain really started coming down he was outside, and he got very frightened! But he enjoyed watching from inside the house.
He decided to dodge out of sight when he saw I was taking his picture!

And that was my day - full of beautiful people, beautiful creation. I am thankful to be able to stop and enjoy what I've been given.

Bear With Me

I know, I know... all you grandmas don't get on here to see pictures of the dirt, but bare with me, OK?

We went for a very relaxing afternood drive, and it was a perfect day for pictures: tons of clouds, rain in the distance, and a brilliant, blue sky.

So, you guys get to see my pictures, and if you hang in till the end, you'll be rewarded for your patience, I promise!

See the rain on the left?
I love this Joshua tree.
If it hadn't been so cold, I would have taken a lot more pictures of it!

Thanks for hanging in there. I told you you would be rewarded for your patience!

The 1st Cool Night

We celebrated our 1st cool night this season by sitting under the stars with our chiminea lit and some hot chocolate. Me and my big belly!
Malachi playing on his turtle (he is sitting on my lap right now pointing at the chininea saying "hot" and pointing at his sand box saying "turtle")
Dad enjoying his back yard. He worked so hard on it, and he loves to sit out there and enjoy it, especially with the tiki torches lit!
Fascinated by the fire - what boy isn't?!
Wrestling with the dogs. They can be a bit much for him sometimes, but he handles it pretty well! (He is pointing at the dogs, yelling over and over "No-rah!")

Dressed all cozy in his sweater.

Misc. from April

I really did try to get this image at the correct angle - sorry.
We got a snow storm in the middle of April,
and I thought it was so pretty when it landed on my roses
Toothy grin

Like my hat?
We got a new dog - her name is Elsie. She is a mut, probably hound and shepherd mix
She and Norah love to play outside all day (Norah is usually brown, now, from the dirt!)

Look Who's Walking!

Another eventful day! Malachi and I drove home after spending the night in Bullhead and we found Kingman covered in white!

But even more exciting - as we are hanging out all cozy at home, I caught Malachi's 1st two steps in a row on video!

Let it SNOW!!!

[I put together this post a while ago and somehow it got lost in the shuffle. So here it is, better late than never]

We arrived in AZ on Tuesday, and the next morning we woke up to snow! It snows a little here most winters, but never like this!

More From Big Lagoon

We all walked down to the beach to go fishing.
There was a beautiful bird that stuck really close for most of the day, probably because Zachary, the little 4-year-old in the background, kept throwing it little minnows to eat!
"I caught one!" If you look really close, you might be able to see it!
Malachi heading for the water. He had a blast splashing in it and playing in the sand.
This was my favorite spot of the whole trip - the picture doesn't quite do it justice (of course).

We all got sunburned at the beach. When one goes camping in November, one does not think to pack sunscreen and hats... one generally packs beanies, and jackets. But I guess one lives and learns!

The Great Outdoors

This weekend we went camping with some friends just outside Pensacola. It poured the whole drive out there, but by the time we were ready to set up camp the rain stopped and it was beautiful for the rest of the weekend!

We FROZE at night - the Birdie slept snuggled close to Momma, almost completely under the covers all night. At least he was cozy!

I'll post more later!
