Making Bread with Friends!

Beautiful girlies - Kylee and Lexi

 And pretty Mama - Erin
Helpers! They were the official taste testers.
 And, of course, the babies!
 Taking a break from bread-making.
Malachi and Lexi each got a bit of dough to kneed for themselves.

And Kylee got to help with the real thing!
And more babies...

A Photo Journal of Today

This has been a day absolutely full of photo-ops, which may explain why it took at least 4 hours to get me floors swept and mopped!

I must share with you all the beautiful things I've seen today.

 Beutiful Nora! Love those ears!!
In the next several pictures, you will see stormy skies in the background. One of my favorite things... (you can thank me later for getting that song stuck in your head!)

I didn't notice at the time that they were holding hands

This rainbow was actually from early yesterday morning.

I had Malachi get the diapers out of the drier for me and asked him to put them on the couch. Next thing I know, he had "made squares" with them! (I had taught him a while ago to "make squares" out of washcloths to help me fold laundry.) This was so cute!
Time for his monthly bath - whether he needs it or not!

He was helping with the gardening...
Another funny thing that interrupted my mopping - the boys were spending an aweful long time in the laundry room, and this is what I found.

I had been a little curious as to how Morgan got up there, but I found out a little later.
What can you even say about this????
Malachi watching the rain from inside - when the rain really started coming down he was outside, and he got very frightened! But he enjoyed watching from inside the house.
He decided to dodge out of sight when he saw I was taking his picture!

And that was my day - full of beautiful people, beautiful creation. I am thankful to be able to stop and enjoy what I've been given.

September Around Our House

You wouldn't think pictures of sleeping children would be so interesting, but somehow Malachi manages to be creative even in slumber!

This is how I found him, and after making sure he was still breathing (yikes!) I ran for my camera...

And this is what I discovered underneath the blanket
Travis planted some herbs and they've sprouted! There has been a lot of growth even since this picture was taken

Malachi helped me take this picture of his little brother!
 Malachi now dresses himself.
At least he was consistent - even the underwear were on backwards!

Bandaids, Bing-bong Hair, and Other Boyish Things

Mo fell on a Mason jar (odd, I know), and has a nice little slit on his brow
I love crazy, I-just-woke-up hair
This is how the bing-bong hair comes about: a little boy who sweats terribly while he sleeps and who often moves as much while asleep as while awake!
Look at those toes! I couldn't help but get a picture of that.
Brothers playing
Beautiful sunset!

Grandma Vickie and Aunt DiAnn's Birthday Party!

We had a b-day bash for two very special ladies in our family! They have been best friends since high school. It was great having a bunch of family over - my parents and brothers, DiAnn and Al, G-ma Vickie and G-pa Dennis, and Meme and Pepe.Birthday Girls making a wish
Pepe trying to figure out how the toy works
Morgan taking a little nap
How cute is this?!
All wore out

Mo Is Growing Fast!

Where is time sneeking off to?
We have had an exciting summer:

We were blessed with a beautiful home that we can see ourselves growing old in (though you never know what the future holds!).

We have watched as our two precious little boys grow and change each day.

We have made some new friends and have gotten back in touch with some old ones.

We are constantly reminded of how blessed we are to have such loving, supportive parents and grandparents holding us up on every side.

Travis and I have been growing in God's grace, learning what it means to train our children in the "nurture and admonition of the Lord." May He continue to teach us, and may we continue to turn to Him for forgiveness in our failures!

Here is a long over-due update on our littlest blessing, Morgan Jackson. What joy he brings us EVERY DAY!
I just don't even know what to say about this... it's cute.
"You really think I'm going to let you take a picture of my tooth?" I really think that is what he was saying here. But...
I got one! It's a bit out of focus and it took about 20 trys, but here it is! His 1st tooth!
I've been opening up the house early in the a.m. It's been beautiful!
Infant spelunking
More infant spelunkingPlaying peek-a-boo!
Look what Morgan can do!
He loves to eat bananas!

He gets himself up here and then he can't get down. Poor thing.
